PICKLE LINES

Pickle lines are used to clean the scale or rust from steel strip. The strip comes to the pickling in a coiled form. The strip is uncoiled and then enters a pickle bath of a low pH acid or a high pH base that removes rust from the surface of the strip. The strip is then rinsed, dried and recoiled. Many pickling lines are continuous, which requires a welder at the front of the line and shear at the end. It is more efficient when there are two uncoilers or pay off reels and two recoilers or rewind reels. The tail end of one coil is welded or stitched to the front end of the next coil so it is one long continuous process. Contact Casey Equipment for a quote on used pickle lines for sale.
