Tap Hole Drills   QTY 2

Tap Hole Drills
A blast furnace tap hole drill is used to remove the plug in the tap hole, so the molten iron can flow out. The molten iron is directed by troughs towards a hot metal car, which is also called a torpedo car, which transports the molten iron to the BOF shop. After the furnace is tapped, the tap hole is resealed using a mud gun, which shoots a clay and refractory material back into the tap hole.
