Casey has used rolling mill stands for rolling and producing blooms, billets, slabs, bars, plate and sheet products. These rolling mill stands can have either a vertical or horizontal orientation. Rolling mill stands are historically made as a steel casting but today many are fabricated from cast slabs or rolled plate. The cross section of the post is measured in square inches (mm2) which determines the housings separating force.
