BATCH ANNEALING FURNACES   QTY 0

ANNEALING FURNACES
Casey Equipment offers a variety of batch annealing furnaces. Annealing is the process of heating metals to an elevated temperature, holding at this temperature for a specified period, then slowly cooling the material. During the elevated temperature hold, the metal recrystallizes then the slow cooling of the material refines the metallurgical microstructure. The annealing process softens the metal and reduces the internal stresses that are formed during hot or cold working. As the indicates, batch annealing furnaces are used to anneal a load or batch of material at a time. Once the furnace is loaded, the annealing cycle is started and the load remains within the furnace until the cycle is complete. Batch annealing furnaces are available in a wide variety of designs including bell furnace, box furnaces, car bottom furnaces, tip up furnaces and hood furnaces. Some furnaces are designed with a protective atmosphere that surrounds the metal. Natural gas fired atmosphere batch furnaces are constructed in a manner that prevents the material being annealed from coming direct contact with the products of combustion from the NG burners. The atmosphere can be carbon rich to prevent decarburization or hydrogen rich to provide a bright surface. Contact Casey Equipment for a quote on used annealing furnaces for sale.
