Hot Strip Mills   QTY 1

Hot Strip Mills
Casey has experience in selling and dismantling hot strip mills throughout the world. Hot strip is rolled from steel slabs that are heated to a rolling temperature. Generally, the slab passes through a breakdown or roughing mill and then through a series of tandem stands to transform it into steel strip. The strip is then coiled on a downcoiler. Another type of hot mill is called a Steckel mill, which has a reversing single or two stand mill. The process utilizes coiling drums in a coiling furnace to maintain the strip temperature from head to tail ends of the strip as the strip passes back and forth between the rolls of the stand until reaching final size, often referred to as gauge. Contact Casey Equipment for a quote on used hot strip mills for sale.
