Rectangular lifting magnets are manufactured for a wide variety of lifting services and typically used in railroad yards, foundries, slag reclamation, demolition industry, steel mills, metal and scrap industries and shipyards. Rectangular magnets are either bi-polar or tri-polar design and most operate on 230 volts DC power and have copper or aluminum windings. Hot bottom design magnets are available for hot work. Bi-polar magnets are used for lifting rebar, pipes, bars, billets, structural I-beams, and H-beams. Tri-Polar magnets are used for lifting slabs, plates, rebar, pipes, billets, structural shapes, also includes unloading of rail cars. Railroad magnets are used to lift tie plate, rail, rail spikes, rail wheels, plate, rebar and scrap.
